21 वी सदी, यानी की एक ऐसा युग जहाँ महिलाओं के सम्मान और महिलाओं के पुरुषों के साथ कदम से कदम और कंधे से कन्धा मिलाने की लिए कई अभियान चलाए गए| लेकिन क्या वाकई में इन अभियानों, आन्दोलनों से हमारी महिलाओं के प्रति सोच में कुछ परिवर्तन आया है| आज मुद्दा महिलाओं को सशक्त करने का नहीं वरन हमारी दकियानूसी सोच में परिवर्तन करने का है| आज हम महिला सशक्तिकरण के इसी मुद्दे पर हम बात करेंगे….Women Empowerment in India Speech

महिला सशक्तिकरण | Women Empowerment in India Speech

कई सालों पहले हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति में कई सारे बदलाव हुए| उन्हीं में एक सबसे बड़ा बदलाव था भारतीय संस्कृति का छोटे-छोटे समाज के रूप में परिवर्तित होना| सालो पहले हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति ने अलग-अलग सामाजिक परिपेक्ष में बदलना शुरू किया जहाँ अपना काम के अनुसार अलग-अलग समाज बने जैसे कोई जुते सिलाई का कम करता है तो वह मोची हुआ, कोई सोने-चंडी के आभूषण बनाता है तो वह सुनार हुआ और अगर कोई लकड़ी का कम करता है तो वह सुतार हुआ| लेकिन इन सभी समाजों के साथ कई सारी दकियानूसी प्रथाएँ और सोच भी उभर कर आई जैसे, दहेज़ प्रथा, घूँघट प्रथा, लड़के की चाह….और इन्हीं  प्रथाओं ने महिलाओं से अपने ही जीवन से जुड़े निर्णय लेने का अधिकार छिन लिया|

माहिला सशक्तिकरण क्या है ? 

आखिरकार इन सभी दकियानूसी सोच और प्रथाओं से ऊपर उठ कर महिलाओं ने अपने अधिकार के लिए संघर्ष करन शुरू किया और आज हम सभी महिलाओं के सम्मान और अधिकार के लिए लड़ रहें हैं| महिला सशक्तिकरण अभियान महिलाओं के संघर्ष को गति देने का ही एक रूप है जहाँ महिला और पुरुष दोनो समाज की इस सोच से लड़ते हुए उन्हें अपना उचित सम्मान और अधिकार दिलाने का प्रयत्न कर रहें हैं|

इसी कड़ी में हम 8 मार्च को पुरे विश्व में महिला दिवस के रूप में मानते हैं| जहाँ हम महिलाओं के अधिकारों के बारे में चर्चा करते है और महिलाओं को अपना उचित अधिकार दिलाने के लिए कई सारी योजनाओं के ऊपर विचार विमर्श करते हैं|

क्या है महिला आरक्षण | What is Women’s Empowerment All About

भारतीय संविधान दुनियां के उन मुख्य संविधानों में से है जो महिला पुरुष समानता की बात करता है| भारतीय संविधान में सामाजिक, राजनितिक और आर्थिक रूप से महिलाओं को पुरुषों के सामान अधिकार प्राप्त है| लेकिन विडंबना इस बात की है, कि आज भी महिलाओं को अपने अधिकारों को प्राप्त करने और अपने सम्मान के लिए लड़ना पड रहा है|

महिलाओं को पुरुषों के समक्ष लाने और अपना उचित अधिकार दिलाने के लिए भारत की कांग्रेस सरकार ने साल 2008 में एक बिल पेश किया जिसके अनुसार संसद की 33 % सीटों पर महिलाओं के आरक्षण की बात कही गई| कांग्रेस सरकार ने राज्यसभा में इस बिल को पास करवा दिया लेकिन पूर्ण रूप से बहुमत नहीं मिलने के कारण कांग्रेस सरकार इस बिल को लोकसभा में पास नहीं करवा पाई|

आज भी हम नारी शक्ति व् नारी सम्मन की बात तो करते है लेकिन जब महिलाओं के लिए त्राग की बात सामने आती है तो आज भी भारतीय पुरुषों के कदम पीछे की और हट जाते हैं| इस बात का प्रत्यक्ष उदारहण पंचायती चुनाओं में देखने को मिलता है जहाँ राजनीति के क्षेत्र में महिलाओं को 33 % आरक्षण प्राप्त है| यहाँ महिलाऐं पार्टी का टिकैत लेकर चुनाओं जीत तो जाती है लैकिन राजनितिक फैसले आज भी घर के पुरुष ही मिल कर करते हैं|

महिला सशक्तिकरण की आवश्यकता | women in development

भारत! जिसे कभी सोने की चिड़िया कहा जाता था, जिसके साहित्य और संस्कृति की दुनिया भर में कसमें खाई जाती थी, जहाँ नारी को देवी के रूप में पूजा जाता था| आज वही भारत अपने ही देश में महिलाओं के अधिकारों को पाने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहा है| आखिर क्यों हमें महिला सशक्तिकरण (Women Empowerment) की आवश्यकता है….

देश का विकास :-

 जी हाँ, आपने यह कहावत तो सुनी होगी की किसी भी देश का भविष्य उस देश के युवाओं के हाथ में होता है और लड़कियां और महिलाऐं भी युवा वर्ग में ही आती है, तो फिर क्यों भारत में आज भी महिलाऐं और लड़कियां घर के चूल्हे चोक तक सिमित है| क्यों आज भी महिलाओं को अपने निर्णय खुद लेने और घर के बहार की दुनियां देखने का अधिकार तक प्राप्त नहीं है|

रुडीवादी सोच में परिवर्तन

भारत में साहित्य और संस्कृति को मानने और अपनाने पर काफी जोर दिया जाता है लेकिन साहित्य और संस्कृति को मानने में एक सबसे गलत बात यह है की हम सालों पुराणी हमारी दकियानूसी सोच को नहीं बदल पते जिसके कारन हम आज भी पिछड़े हुएं हैं| अगर महिलाओं को पढने और आगे बढ़ने का उचित अवसर दिया जाए तो वे दुनिया बदलने की ताकत रखती है|

शिक्षा का स्तर

यह बात तो साफ है की आज भी भारत की लगभग एक चोथाई आबादी गाँओं में निवास करती है जहाँ बहतर शीशा की सुविधा नहीं होने के कारण आज भी भारत पूर्ण रूप से शिक्षित देश नहीं बन पाया है| अगर महिलाओं को पढने के उचित अवसर मिलें तो वह अपने परिवार को भी शिक्षित कर अपना व् अपने गाँव का स्तर सुधर सकती है|

गरीबी

महिला सशक्तिकरण का सबसे प्रमुख कारण है गरीबी जैसी गंभीर बीमारी को दूर करना| आप यकीं करें या ना करें भारत में आज भी कई ऐसे इलाकें है जहाँ परिवार दो वक्त की रोटी तक नहीं जूटा पाता| कई बच्चे भोजन के आभाव में भुकमरी का शिकार हो जाते हैं| अगर महिलाओं को शिक्षा व् आगे बढ़ने के उचित अवसर मिले तो वे अपना व् अपने परिवार का खर्चा उठा सकती है|

Anju Jain to take over as Bangladesh women coach

Former India women wicketkeeper Anju Jain is set to take over as head coach of the Bangladesh women team. She will replace former England allrounder David Capel, who has been in the job since October 2016.

Capel will step down after the ongoing South Africa tour consisting of five ODIs and three T20Is, that serve as preparation as Bangladesh seek to qualify for the Women's World T20 to be played in the West Indies in November.

While the finer details of Jain's deal are yet to be worked out, it is understood that she will join the national team on a six-month contract and take over as soon as they return from South Africa on May 21. She will be joined by her former India colleague Devika Palshikar and Anuja Dalvi, who are already onboard as assistant coach and physiotherapist respectively.

"An opportunity to coach a national team at this stage is quite exciting," Jain told ESPNcricinfo. "At this moment, the biggest challenge is to help the team qualify for the Women's World T20 in West Indies. There is talent, but you need to give them games. Our primary responsibility as a coaching group will be to ensure they develop the finer skill sets, and that will come with experience."

The BCB has penciled in a 10-day tour of Ireland in preparation for the eight-team Women's World T20 Qualifiers to be held in Netherlands in July. Bangladesh, who lost all their four matches at the previous edition in 2016, are the top-ranked side in the group that consists of Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Netherlands, Uganda, Thailand and United Arab Emirates. Two teams from the qualifiers will join the top eight at the World T20.

Jain is a Level-B certified BCCI coach and has extensively taken part in exchange programmes with Cricket Australia. Her involvement with Bangladesh will mean she will step down as head coach of Vidarbha women's team. She previously coached India at the 2012 Women's World T20 and the 2013 World Cup.

Jain is the second India woman cricketer to land the Bangladesh job. Former captain Mamta Maben was previously in-charge of Bangladesh across two stints in 2011 and 2013.

Tough Choices, and Criticism, for Emily’s List as Democratic Women Flood Primaries

“It becomes a kind of Catch-22,” said Debbie Walsh, director of the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. “One of their criteria is the issue of viability, but without their endorsement, viability becomes very tough, because so many people use them as their barometer of, ‘Oh, does this woman have a chance?’”

Emily’s List has also faced criticism that it does not do enough to lift up women of color. Nina Turner, an African-American former state senator from Ohio who was endorsed by Emily’s List when she ran for secretary of state in 2014, said minorities may face higher hurdles than white women in raising money, because they are less likely to come from wealthy circles.

“I got the money late when I needed it early because they were judging my ability to fund-raise more than where I stood on the issues,” Ms. Turner said, adding, “I don’t think they take into consideration the hurdles that black and Hispanic women have to jump when you judge viability.”

Ms. Schriock said Emily’s List does recognize “the obstacles that are particularly in front of women of color.”

“Do we have to do more?” she asked. “Absolutely, as does the party.”

In the Georgia governor’s primary, race — and a chance to make history — was “a big piece,” but not the only consideration, in Emily’s List’s decision to endorse Ms. Abrams, who is African-American, Ms. Schriock said. Ms. Abrams, a former minority leader in the Georgia House of Representatives, has a national profile and a longstanding relationship with Emily’s List, which gave her its rising star award in 2014. If elected, she would become the nation’s first black female governor.

She has also outraised Ms. Evans, reporting nearly $3.3 million in campaign contributions, according to campaign filings in Georgia, compared with $2.6 million for Ms. Evans.

Some political analysts say that Ms. Evans might have broader appeal with white moderates and thus a better chance of winning a Georgia general election. Ms. Schriock disagrees. She says Emily’s List is counting on Ms. Abrams, who is favored to win the primary, to expand the Democratic electorate by pulling in black and Latino voters who might not otherwise go to the polls.

The Georgia WIN List, Georgia’s equivalent of Emily’s List, has remained neutral in the campaign.

“For us to have chosen between the two, it would have destroyed my organization,” said Melita Easters, the group’s chairwoman.

Historic day for Middlesex women at Lord's

Middlesex women broke records on Tuesday when they stepped out onto the main pitch at Lord's for the first time in their 85-year history.

Former England captain Charlotte Edwards captained the opposition for a T20 exhibition match between Middlesex Women and MCC XI.

"It's long-overdue, the fact that Middlesex women haven't played here in 85 years is just unbelievable," said Edwards at stumps.

"You just hope that this is now the norm for Middlesex and they get a fixture here every year, be it in this kind of game or a County Championship game".

Natasha Miles, Middlesex captain, added: "We deserve to play here, we put on a good show."

The match also fetched the biggest crowd for a domestic match in England - with 5,000 children in the stands - and follows on from the sell-out crowd for the World Cup final at the same venue last summer.

New Zealand women call up Watkin, Bezuidenhout for England tour

Jess Watkin, the 19-year old Central Districts allrounder, and Bernadine Bezuidenhout, the former South African international, have been called up to the New Zealand women squad for their upcoming tour of England and Ireland. The duo was included in a 15-member squad that will play ODIs against England and Ireland, as well as a T20 tri-series featuring New Zealand, England and South Africa.

"Jess and Bernadine are tremendous talents with lots of potential," Kirsty Bond, the national selector, said. "They're aggressive players who possess a broad skillset and that allows them to adapt to changing game situations quickly."

Watkin, who smashed a 123-ball double-century for Central Districts against Wellington at the National Women's Under-21 tournament in December, has won the Central Hinds' young-player-of-the-year award in successive seasons.

"Jess is a special player who we've been keeping an eye on since she debuted domestically in 2013," Bond said. "She's an explosive batter who hits the ball hard, and is a more than useful offspin option, so she offers us great versatility. We've also been impressed by the work she's done on her fitness and physical conditioning over the past season."

Bezuidenhout, who switched camp from South Africa following her relocation to Christchurch in 2015, became eligible for selection after the expiration of a two-year residential stand-down in August 2017. In a six-month international career for South Africa, she played four ODIs and seven T20Is.

"Bernadine's an exciting player and proved her talent by topping the women's domestic T20 runs table this season," Bond said. "She's an innovative player with a wide skillset, and, like Jess, plays that aggressive style of cricket which we believe we need going forward. Bernadine's also an excellent athlete who's good in the park, and that aligns with our intention to build a multi-faceted team unit, particularly for T20 cricket."

The squad will get together for a training camp in Lincoln from May 12 to 15 before departing for Dublin on June 1. The tour will begin with a one-off T20I against Ireland. The teams will then face off in three ODIs, which will be followed by the T20 tri-series. The tour will then conclude with a three-match ODI series against England in July.
