पुणे. आईपीएल-11 में शनिवार शाम 4 बजे से यहां के एमसीए इंटरनेशनल स्टेडियम में चेन्नई सुपरकिंग्स और रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलुरु के बीच टूर्नामेंट का 35वां मुकाबला खेला जाएगा। इस सीजन में दोनों एकदूसरे के खिलाफ दूसरी बार आमने-सामने होंगी। इससे पहले 25 अप्रैल को हुए मुकाबले में चेन्नई सुपरकिंग्स ने रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलुरु (आरसीबी) को 5 विकेट से हरा दिया था। महेंद्र सिंह धोनी की कप्तानी वाली चेन्नई ने इस सीजन में अब तक 9 मैच खेले हैं। इनमें से 6 मुकाबले जीतकर वह अंकतालिका में दूसरे नंबर पर है। वहीं आरसीबी ने 8 में से सिर्फ 3 मैच ही जीते हैं। अंकतालिका में वह छठे स्थान पर है। चेन्नई अपना पिछला मैच कोलकाता नाइटराइडर्स के खिलाफ हार गई थी। वहीं आरसीबी ने अपने पिछले मैच में मुंबई इंडियंस को 14 रन से हरा दिया था।

- डिविलियर्स वायरल फीवर के चलते पिछले दो मैच में आरसीबी को अपना योगदान नहीं दे सके थे। 
- वहीं चेन्नई सुपरकिंग्स इस मैच में शायद ही कोई बदलाव करे।

Mumbai will need six wins from their last seven games to guarantee themselves a playoffs spot and the same would be the case with Bangalore. Captain Rohit led from the front as they defeated the Chennai in their last game and they will be looking forward to making life miserable for an already out-of-sorts Bangalore bowling attack.

The Chinnaswamy stadium has been a hard ground to defend and home captain Kohli will be desperately hoping to get a chance to bat second on that wicket. His bowlers have let him down time and again and they have struggled to know how much is enough for their bowlers to defend.

Kohli has spoken of his team lacking the excitement and not being good enough on the field and with every match being a virtual knockout for them, intensity levels need to rise. Their death bowling will again be at the forefront and the only way out for them is to pick up plenty of wickets at the top. India is known to be a sportsman loving country, rather than a sports loving country, and there is no doubt that this contest will be talked about as a Kohli versus Dhoni contest. Then again, one must remember that the captain is only as good as his team and Chennai appear to be the better team at present.

Not only have Chennai won close games, but they have found a couple of new match winners with the bat and ball in each game. The latest round of heroics came from Rayudu, who took Chennai from a below average score to a formidable one. If that wasn’t enough, Deepak Chahar swung the fortunes their way with a beautiful display of swing bowling!

Bangalore, on the other hand, are coming on the back of a win against the hapless Delhi, thanks largely to AB de Villiers’ 39 ball unbeaten 90. Their bowling, apart from Umesh Yadav, has failed to withstand the pressure of top quality batting and that has left them exposed time and time again.

Now that all of their top order batsmen are in form, Chennai will look to milk a few easy runs against the Bangalore bowling attack. They will also be aware of the fact that on a given day, any one of Kohli, de Villiers and Quinton de Kock can win a game single handedly! The latter is yet to make a significant contribution, and Bangalore would be hoping for some fireworks from him to get their tournament up
